How to watch the 2020 Jonesboro Open
(Updated 8/20/2020)

The Disc Golf Pro Tour has established three phases for each tournament since the restart of the tour in June.  Those phases can be found here:  Each tournament is considered Phase 1 until it changes.  The final decision will be announced two weeks before the tournament, or roughly September 15.

The Jonesboro Open staff is planning on and preparing for spectators to be on site for the 2020 Tournament!

IF we are able to have spectators as normal, the 2020 Jonesboro Open will be $5 per person (age 10 and above) per day or $10 for a full-weekend pass.   All kids 9 and under get in free.  40% of these proceeds will go to The Arkansas Pet Savers (TAPS). TAPS is an organization of individuals that save dogs and cats from death row at shelters by fostering them in their own homes until a fur-ever home can be found.

Disc Side of Heaven is located at 3255 Strawfloor Drive, Jonesboro AR, 72404.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM LITTLE ROCK, do NOT follow your GPS (It will take you down a dirt road and a one-lane wooden bridge!)  Stay on Hwy 49 until you get to Parker Road (If you cross I-555 you have gone too far).  Turn Left on Parker Road and allow your GPS to take you from there.

There is limited parking at Disc Side of Heaven, we encourage everyone to carpool as much as possible.

All three days you will be able to park at Sloan Lake Estates.  Sloan Lake Estates is a relativity new subdivision.  There are two cul-de-sacs close to Disc Side of Heaven that have no homes built.  You can park there and follow the red/pink flags to the course.

Also for all three days there is overflow parking located near Hole #4 basket. Follow Strawfloor Drive around to the South and the gate will be on your right.

On Saturday and Sunday, you will be able to park at Ridgefield Christian School – 3824 Casey Springs Rd, Jonesboro, AR 72404 – and walk up the hill to Disc Side of Heaven.

As soon as you get on site, enter through the tent located at the main gate.  We will have a map showing the best places to watch.  If you park at Hole #4 know there are no vendors there, all vendors are located near Hole #1.

(This info will be updated as we get closer 8/20/20)  There will be food and beverages for purchase on-site on Friday and Saturday.  CASH ONLY Menu is as follows:

Friday Lunch:  Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Chips $4  | Pulled Pork Nachos $6

Saturday Lunch:  Pulled Pork Sandwiches and Chips $4  | Pulled Pork Nachos $6

20oz Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Water, Powerade $2

There are several events that non-players are encouraged and invited to take part in.  See the entire Event Schedule by clicking here:  Schedule

Disc Side of Heaven is located on an active Hay Field.  It is extremely hilly and rough.  Please come prepared with good, closed toe shoes.  Be aware of your surroundings as all of Mother Nature’s creatures will still be out in early October.  There is some shade on the course, but other areas where there is none.  Please consider sunscreen and insect repellent.  Regular baby strollers with small wheels are not recommended.  Jogging strollers with large wheels work much better.

Chairs, coolers, food & beverages are all allowed in.  BUT PLEASE help us by keeping your trash to a minimum and if at possible take it with you.  As the hiking motto goes… ‘Pack it in.  Pack it out.’

  • Live Action:  When the players are preparing to throw, please be quiet, and if you are in their line of sight, be as still as possible.
  • Cell Phones:  Please have them off or silenced while you are on the course.
  • OB Disc:  DO NOT touch or pick up a disc you believe to be Out of Bounds.  Let the players pick it up.
  • Autographs:  Please do not ask for autographs during the round.  Please ask after the round or before the round, if they are not preparing or warming up and it is socially appropriate.
